Feeling retired already...

Today I got to hold my sweet grandbaby Brody.  He is 3 weeks old and a bundle of joy.  It's amazing how you can love your grandbabies so instantly.  We will be here for several days and I am so excited to get to spend such quality time with everyone.

One week from today we will hit the road and head for some warmer country.  My parents live in California and we are very excited to go spend some much needed time with them.  It's bitter sweet leaving our children, grandchildren, friends and the town we have loved for so long to set out on our new adventure.  However, I went to the doctor yesterday and my blood pressure was 114/76.  That was great news.  I am already starting to decrompress..

Today is the day...

As I lay here in the wee hours of the morning, I am filled with excitement and contentment in    the decision we have made.  When the sun rises the final packing will begin.  We will have picked through and chosen only the items we use on a daily basis and a few items of comfort.  I was sorting through my clothes and realizing I have room for about 10 to 12 shirts and I had to decide which ones I was going to leave behind.  It's not as easy as you may think. I did grab photos of each of our grandbabies.  I am thankful to have found 3m Picture Hanging Strips, this allowed me to hang those photos without damage to the wood... Who knew?

The past two weeks have been devoted to preparing.  We were blessed with a 2000 Dodge Conversion van with only 89,000 miles.  They were asking $4000 and I got it for what I could afford, which was $3000.  We then went to work on designing the layout.  Kitchen up front? Kitchen in the back?  You must use every inch wisely when your talking about living in less than 100sf.  But we did it and while I am certain there will be some adjustments in the near future for today I think it is perfect.

We won't officially leave town until the end of the month.  We will however enjoy every minute we can with our kids and grandkids in the next week.

Isaiah 40: 30,31 “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
